I could get used to this . . .

Staying at home and doing whatever I please.

But, I still haven't sat down long enough to start quilting "Snowbound".  I think I am avoiding it because I can't decide how I want to quilt it.

I had a busy but relaxing day. After I complained about not being able to sleep on my last post, I actually stayed in bed until 8 o'clock yesterday morning. Of course, I didn't go to bed until after midnight.

So I had a slow or should I say late start in the morning. But, I got some laundry finished, I made a loaf of bread, a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and enjoyed two ball games. We had turkey and rice soup and fresh from the oven rolls for supper.

I sat down at about 8:30 to watch TV and sewed all of the embellishments (buttons) on my Tree Time Quilt blocks.

The movie I watched today was Lady Jane.

It was a pretty good movie. I am trying out netflix and checking out old movies.

I need to applique the last two blocks of "Tree Time" and add a few more buttons here and there and I'll be ready to decide how to put it together. I am thinking about a 1 inch sashing and then some borders. Maybe a flying geese or some type of pieced tree blocks.

Another thought would be to add pieces to the edges of the blocks to make attic windows. But I'm not sure I want to do that. It might make it too busy looking.

Well, I also have to take in account how big I want the quilt to be--which depends on what I want to use it for.  So I guess after I make the final two blocks, I'll need to decide - wall hanging or bed quilt.

Decisions, decisions. . . The life of a quilter. Any suggestions from my friends?

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.
