Secret Santa Swap Arrived

The mailman came to our door on Saturday -- that is very unusual. So I yelled downstairs to my son and asked him to answer the door. He came upstairs with a package and said, "I don't know why I have to answer the door when the package is for you." Joking, of course, right Craig?

WhooHoo! My secret santa swap package had arrived. I opened the box to find a pretty gift wrapped box with a note that told me to wait until December 1st to open. So I put it under my tree. My husband looked at me and said, "Are you really going to wait to open that?" I told him that I sure was because I was told to. He just shook his head.

So, guess what I did the first thing when I got up on December 1st. I opened the package, of course. My swap partner was Judy @ Sewing Seeds of Friendship.

Isn't this wall hanging great.  I was so excited to get it that I haven't taken time to press it a little bit. And I'm still deciding where to hang it.

And a close up. . .
She also enclosed a reindeer pattern, some blades (I'm a tightwad and use mine forever so these were more appreciated.) and a fat quarter of Christmas fabric.
Even the card was beautiful.
So I send out my thanks and gratitude to Judy for making me such a great and appropriate swap gift. She's been lurking around my blog to get a feel for who I am. I think she nailed it. Happy Holidays to you, Judy.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.
