Does Your Sewing Area Ever Look Like This?

Warning Kelsey, don't look!

Actually it is only two projects.

This is the quilt I'm making for Kelsey and her boyfriend to give to his mother for Christmas. All blocks are made (except the prairie points edging) and ready to be sewn together.

I enjoyed making the quick "Believe" wall hanging so much last weekend, I decided to do another quick one this weekend. I drew everything free handed including the letters. Still thinking about border colors. I have fabrics laid out and will be eyeing then as I applique to decide what direction I want to take.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting!

  1. I like your new projects. The green and rose are lovely colors. I really like fall colors. I have quite a few fall wall hangings, but am tempted to make another. Awesome that you can free hand your own patterns.

  3. Those blocks are looking lovely. What a beautiful Christmas gift it will make, a touch of "spring" in the midst of winter.

  4. Vivian the pink and green quilt is going to be just beautiful, especially with prairie points!

I love the fall wallhanging! Actually as soon as I finish up the quilts I have waiting for longarm time, I plan to do some wallhangings.

  6. Vivian, I love the new 'Give Thanks' project! Did you also design the 'Believe' wall hanging? I was hoping it was a pattern that was available...? By the way, my sewing area (I don't have a room, just use what ever room is available, LOL) anyway, my sewing area looks like that right now. I had to have urgent surgery right in the middle of a large project and there it sits, just where it's been for the last 8 weeks. Lucky we are empty nesters so that I could just leave it!

Yes, Vivian, my sewing area does frequently look like that and for it, I 'give thanks'. Such a wonderful hobby we all share. Love pink and green together and that looks like a breath of spring!!

  8. They both look wonderful. But only having two projects going at once for me would be a miracle (ha). Have a wonderful weekend!
