Design Wall Monday

I designed this quilt in EQ. I started not to put the applique on it but then did anyway. Now, I wish I wouldn't have. I think it would have made a better spring table topper for my kitchen table than a wall hanging.

Then again, I have a very slanted ceiling in my bathroom with an empty wall above the door. So, that my be the spot for this wall hanging. It just so happens that I have the bathroom decorated with a birdhouse picture and a few birdhouses so it will be right at home on a wall in there. The walls are a nutmeg brown so the colors will probably stand out also.

Since I didn't know what I was going to do with it, this quilt has been sitting on the design wall all day while I worked on another small quilt/wall hanging. I guess since I now know where I'm going to put it, I'll have to get it quilted this week.

Be sure to head on over to Patchwork Times to see what everyone else is working on.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting!

  1. that is very sweet and I like the applique. I am not very good at applique but I love the look. I have been learning my EQ6 program. Love it.

  2. I like your spring quilt and I like quilts in bathrooms too! Maybe you'll just have to make another little table topper...what a shame (wink).
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Cute! Perfect spring wallhanging! It's amazing how much it motivates us when we have a place or a recipient for a quilt!

  4. I like the applique on it. The birdhouse just sings "SPRING" and we're all so ready.

  7. I think it will be a great addition to your bathroom. I have quilts in just about every room including the bathroom.

  8. Your little quilt is wonderful. But I must say your quilt in the header knocks my socks off! Do you have a pic of the full quilt on your blog somewhere?? Wonderful!

Want to hear something shameful? I have had EQ6 for over a year and haven't even loaded it. I'm bad...
