Design Wall Monday

Oops! I have the same thing on my design wall today as I did last week.

The week just totally got away from me. Hopefully, I'll get to this quilt sometime this week.

I got out this "work in progress" today but didn't get anywhere on it either. It is one of Bonnie Hunter's patterns from her website called "Ohio Stars and Rails". I'm trying to decide if I want to use what blocks I have made and then add borders to get to the size I want or make about 40 more blocks to make the queen size quilt I need. My goal is to finish it by the end of May. I am giving myself a goal so I will be more apt to finish it by then and not let it sit on my shelf for another year.

I also have a few ideas for some wall hangings I am sketching out with my EQ6. I am more interested in doing this now than finishing the "works in progress" I have laying around. Oh well. top

Until next time . . .

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  1. Sometimes a week will do that..get away. Thank goodness there's always another one right after it!
I got EQ6 about a month ago and I need to learn to use it...I'm afraid it will eat too much time tho.- also I'm just afraid of it :)

  2. Don't you just love Bonnie Hunters site!!! And it's good to set goals - really helps you focous, so good for you!! Can hardly wait to see this quilt done in, what was it May??? Alright!!

  3. I love the white picket fence! What are you thinking about doing for the quilting? Pretty colors, too! :)

  4. LOL, Vivian -- I was just reading your "about me" -- we share a lot of commonality! :)

  5. Borders! Take a note from JudyL and have fun adding lots of cool borders!

All my weeks seem to get away from me... LOL

  6. Hi Vivian! I am a new blogger and new to Design Wall Monday so your project is new to me! :-) Love the Ohio Stars and Rails.

  7. I think it's a great idea to set a definite target date to keep you moving on the quilt. You really can't go wrong with a Bonnie Hunter pattern.
