A Slow Relaxing Sunday

Well, after much ripping and fussing, I finally have the center of Orca Bay all put together. I also have the outside pieced border blocks made. But just realized that I need a light colored strip border to add first. And . . .

I do not have any light colored fabric to use. Everything I used for this quilt is scraps I had on hand. But any  other light colored fabric I have left is already going to be used in other quilts I have started.

So I am going to put it up for a few days or weeks until I can get more fabric and then tackle it again.

In the meantime, I am designing the wedding quilt for my niece. I know it will be a tiger lily applique. (She is having tiger lilies in her wedding.) Just not quite sure how it will look yet. This is one that I have come up with that I am leaning towards.

My tiger lily applique block will not be exactly like that one.

Becca's birthday quilt is all pieced. I only need to add the borders. I'm not going to show it because she has no idea what fabric I am using. Hopefully, it will be a surprise. So I have plenty to keep me busy.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting!
