I have all of the blocks pieced for the "Snowflakes are Falling" quilt. I laid them all out on my living room floor. I moved them. And moved them. And moved them.
The blocks will have a 1 inch white sashing in between them to make the snowflakes.
Now I need your opinions. Are there any that stand out as needing moved around?
If you haven't been by Judy L's yet, be sure to drop by to see what other quilters are working on. I'm going to try to comment on as many as possible. It's always so fun to get comments.
Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting?
That dark red seems to jump at me. Could be the angle of the photo (or just my imagination) :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great to me!
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me. The ones that need to be really scattered evenly are the striped blocks and the reds and you have done a great job with the balance of those stand out blocks.
ReplyDeleteThey look great and I love the snowflake secondary pattern!! So pretty and yes the snowflakes are still here on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Hum, I wonder if I should try this concept with my snow fabric that is waiting for something! I hope you get the sashing in some this week as I'd like to see how it looks. What size blocks are they? I like it!
ReplyDeleteI think they look pretty great and randomized. Great quilt!
ReplyDeleteI think the placement looks pretty good to me - nothing jumped out at me saying move me.

ReplyDeleteNothing jumps out a me, the pattern and layout look great! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be so pretty. I love your snowflake fabric.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks fine, and the white sashing is going to create a neat secondary pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good to me, balanced and nothing causes my eye to get stuck while wandering over it. It's a really nice looking quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt in your header. Is it from a book?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun quilt! At my house I call this playing "switcheroo". I think you did a really good job spreading out the darks, brights, and lights.
ReplyDeleteI think it is just perfect as you have it laid out now.
ReplyDeleteI am with whoever said the stripes and the dark reds being the ones to worry about, but you have them scattered till the eye roams over the quilt rather than focus just on a single block.
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good to me...I see you have changed your header quilt... must be warming up
ReplyDeleteI'll agree with everyone else, the layout looks good. Love the blocks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I look forward to seeing those snowflakes after the sashings are on. :)
ReplyDeleteHow many times did you rearrange blocks, Vivian?? It looks great and I'm eager to see it with sashing!!
