A Lazy Day

I haven't been in the sewing room since last week sometime. Just haven't been in the mood.

Today I started out early and did some housecleaning. Not enough though. Then I made the mistake of sitting down to read. And that's my story for the day.

Kelsey came to visit for awhile. She studied for tests while I read.

I think she was one tired nursing student. She dozed off for a few minutes. Only a few minutes.

Larry made us roast and mashed potatoes and gravy for supper. It was so good. He cooks it in an iron skillet in the oven for three or four hours and it is heavenly.

I did make it to sew around 7 p.m. I worked on the embroidery for one of the baby quilts. I was going to cut some more 5 1/2 squares that I need for another project, but didn't get that far. I was too lazy to take pictures.

Hopefully, I'll be more energetic tomorrow.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  1. when I get started reading a good book it is hard to get away from it. I have been in a reading mood lately too and try to divide my time for sewing, reading and a little housework. Somehow the housework keeps getting the low end of the time :)

  2. I agree with Karen.... housework comes last around here if there is a quilt project happening. I try to keep the large, open living, dining and kitchen area picked up and dusted so drop by company gets the impression I clean house ... LOL!

  3. I am where you are ... and just like the above ladies, housework typically gets the lowest priority unless company is due! Loved the "chatter" label for this post, Vivian! :)
