Fat Quarter Star Quilt-along

Well, I am finally getting around to the 4th block. I reached in last night and pulled out three new fabric choices.

I took a few minutes to decide which fabric I wanted for the center block and then I began cutting. I even laid the pieces out to form the block. By then it was late so I left it for tonight.

So tell me. How in the world can it take two hours to sew together one little block?

As Kelsey would say "Seriously, that's ridiculous."

But I do like how the block turned out.

No sewing for me tomorrow. Kelsey, Debby (one of my sisters) and I are going to see the Breaking Dawn, the latest in the Twilight Series. Since I'll be in Fort Smith (40 miles away) I really need to get some groceries. I hope that by 9 o'clock I am not too tired. But, if I am, that's okay.

Tomorrow is another day.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting!

  1. have fun - and yes it has taken me forever to finish a block - I seem to recall the Star Crazy quilt making so many mistakes that I actually threw away a star block after working on it for half the day and making so many mistakes that I just plain tossed it and then made it the next day in under an hour!

  3. Your blocks are all turning out so great -- it kills me that you're reaching in and *blindly* picking your fabrics!!! Have a blast at the movie -- my daughter, daughter-in-law and a group of their friends went to the opening showing at midnight last night! :)
