Design Wall Monday

Thanks Judy L. at Patchwork Times for hosting Design Wall Monday.

Here was my design wall (floor) at 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Two projects going at once.

Here is my design wall (floor) at 5 p.m. One flimsy complete and waiting for borders.

Here is my design wall (floor) at 9 p.m.

I have about half of it sewed together. Three more rows to piece. And 7 rows to sew together.

I'll have pictures of the quilt tops later this week, I hope.

I'm off to decide what I am going to use for the bindings. They may have to be scrappy borders because I am running low on the blue fabrics used. But, I have two large pieces of blue that have not been used in the quilt that I may use.

Decisions, decisions.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  12. Vivian,

Beautiful!!!! The Ohio Stars are just so eye-catching!

To answer your question: the bird is machine applique. It's to be a published work. With published work, I just don't have the time to do applique by hand. My current hand applique project is that Civil War Bride quilt, and I am moving EVER so very slowly on my progress.
