Thanks Judy L. at Patchwork Times for hosting Design Wall Monday.
Here was my design wall (floor) at 7 a.m. Sunday morning. Two projects going at once.
Here is my design wall (floor) at 5 p.m. One flimsy complete and waiting for borders.
Here is my design wall (floor) at 9 p.m.
I have about half of it sewed together. Three more rows to piece. And 7 rows to sew together.
I'll have pictures of the quilt tops later this week, I hope.
I'm off to decide what I am going to use for the bindings. They may have to be scrappy borders because I am running low on the blue fabrics used. But, I have two large pieces of blue that have not been used in the quilt that I may use.
Decisions, decisions.
Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

ReplyDeleteWow - those are to fab quilts! You are one busy lady!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. It is finishing at such a rapid pace. Those decisions can be tough though.
ReplyDeleteYour header quilt "Orange Crush" is wonderful! I didn't participate in that mystery, and wish I had. Loved scrolling thru your blog. Found you thru Judy's Design Wall Monday. What great eye candy!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get so much done in one day! I am very partial to the patriotic fabrics and stars, very pretty quilts.
ReplyDeleteVivian,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!! The Ohio Stars are just so eye-catching!
To answer your question: the bird is machine applique. It's to be a published work. With published work, I just don't have the time to do applique by hand. My current hand applique project is that Civil War Bride quilt, and I am moving EVER so very slowly on my progress.
