Traveling . . .

wears me out. I spent the day (Wednesday) traveling over two hours to a doctor's appointment. We left home at 7 a.m. and had driven about halfway when my phone rang. It was the doctor's office asking if I was already on my way. I told her yes and she said my doctor was held up at the children's hospital that is his primary hospital.

So we went ahead and drove to the hospital and went to check in. She called my doctor back and he said he would see me at the other hospital because he was sitting in on a 7 hour surgery. So we traveled down the road a couple of miles to the other hospital.

The good news is that he had just returned from a conference and may have an idea of what my breathing and throat problems are caused by. Yippee. It means more surgery so he can do some biopsies of the esophagus tissue. So far, he has been focusing on my trachea. So there is hope and I may have a diagnosis besides Acid Reflux shortly.

We got home around 3 p.m. and I went to meet my teacher group at 5 for our monthly dinner. I returned home at 7 and parked myself on the couch reading blogs and watching the world series. My eyes are heavy as they often are when my allergies are bothering me and I am tired. So I think I'll just chill and go with the flow.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  1. I hope you get an answer soon, and that it turns out to be nothing serious, and is easily fixed.

  2. Glad you had a personal driver to be there for you. I had a short road trip in the rain, by myself. I enjoyed the peace and freedom of radio channel selection, but I would have like to have had my strong hubby doing the driving! Hope the doctor find the answers soon. Good to hear that he has you in his thoughts.
