Design Wall Monday

Once again I pulled the fabrics from the paper bags to use in the 2nd block of the Fat Quarter Star  Quilt-along.

Actually I drew out four colors but realized I only needed three and the background fabric. The pattern called for a light colored fabric so I put the darker green back in the bag.

After I completed the block and set it next to the first block, I realized that I must have put two pieces of the same fabric in the bag. So now both block 1 and block 2 have the same light green floral fabric. That's okay because I am going to have to use each fabric in two or more blocks anyway.

That's it for today. Stop by Judy L's for more Design Wall Monday goodies.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting!

  1. Vivian, I haven't had time for blog hopping this year, but just dropped in and so you finished your DWR quilt that's pictured on your header.... WOWZERS! Are you entering that somewhere? That's one of the most GORGEOUS quilts I've ever seen!

  2. If I had fabric in a paper bag and drew out for blocks I would be pulling out and puttting back and pulling out and putting back until I had the ones I wanted! I would be cheating I'm sure.

  3. Vivian,
I found your blog through Patchwork Times via Life in Pieces blog. I am a regular reader of Kate's blog. I was just curious where in rural AR you are. I live in Wesley, between Huntsville and Elkins, east of Fayetteville. We have a convenience store and post office and that about covers us. BTW your DWR is very beautiful! The applique is gorgeous. I'm not sure if my email automatically shows up or not (not very computer literate), so I'll include it here. Love your star too. Shelia stitchedfromtheheart@yahoo.com
