It's A Sad Day at Our House

It's a sad day at our house. Please visit my other blog "At Home on Pine Ridge"  to read my story about our dog, Molly, adopting us.

Then read this post  for an update.

Tomorrow will be better.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  1. sorry to hear about Molly, it is always sad to loose a pet that you are close to. Sometimes the pets that adopt us are the best - years ago we had no pets and a cat came to our back yard and stayed with us - this was when we lived in Idaho years and years ago. After awhile we had began to feed her and then let her come and go in and out of the house - shortly after I realized she was going to have kittens. Would you believe one day she went outside and then a short while later I heard her scratching at the door, I went to let her in and reached down to pet her and she dropped a kitten in my hand! She really was most likely not even a year old herself as small as she was. Well we fixed up a box for her and she took care of her kitten with a little encouragement at first as she didn't seem to know what to do with it, we looked outside to see if there were anymore and never found any. Both of those cats came to Arkansas with us and we had the mommy cat Maxie for many years before she died. She was always the best cat we ever had!

  2. I am so sorry Vivian. I know these wonderful four legged beings become part of us.

Memories - that's what we cherish. And it sounds like you have good memories.
