A Beautiful Sunday

Craig and Becca came to visit today and as a result, I finally quilted this tabletopper.

I have been totally unmotivated to sew or quilt. Now I wonder how long it will take me to get the binding on.

It was a totally beautiful day here on Pine Ridge. I was able to sit for awhile outside in the sun and finish a book I was previewing for my 4th graders. I wish I could instill my love for reading in all of them; but, it doesn't always happen.

Five more weeks of school. I have learned not to make a list of things I want to accomplish during the summer months because it probably won't happen. But then again, maybe I will at least do something on the list.

I do want to spend more time visiting with the kids this summer. They will be working, but I can easily work my schedule around them.

Happy snipping, stitching, and quilting.

  1. That little topper is so pretty! So Spring-y .....something that has not yet happened here in S.E.MN! It seems that the trees are in a holding pattern....no leaves even in tight bud! flower bulbs just sending up their shoots!!! I have been spending much time in my sewing room quilting. Call it avoidance, I guess. Lovely post. Hugs, Doreen

  2. it was a beautiful day - I got my small garden planted - I do not have a green thumb though with veggies so lets keep our fingers crossed that it grows and that we do not have excessive heat and drought this year!
